A Night Out
Janey is off to her cousin Kirsty’s hen night. Kenzo is reluctantly entrusted to his Grandad’s care, but Janey asks Michael to call in later to keep an eye on things. She warns Susan that a night out with her and Sasha can get pretty wild but Susan will not be dissuaded. Roger is also excited as he has a blind date with someone he met on the internet.
Ben and Kenzo settle down to watch a film – Kenzo wants to watch a cartoon but Ben has other ideas. To exact his revenge, Kenzo locks Ben out of the house and try as he might, Ben cannot outsmart his grandson. Things on the hen night take an unexpected turn when Sasha arrives, revealing she is heavily pregnant and Kirsty turns up devastated, having just been dumped by the bridegroom. Susan is harangued into calling him – she persuades him to come down to the bar and tries to make him reconsider but his arrogance leaves her certain that Kirsty has had a lucky escape.
It seems that Roger has been stood up by his blind date, but perhaps fate is trying to tell him something as he and the waitress, Ellie, have an awful lot in common. Just as Roger is about to ask her out, his blind date, Vera, finally arrives. A little later on and a little worse for wear, Kirsty has almost cheered up, remembering how many bad traits Neil had but they are soon forgotten again when he decides he does want to marry her after all. Cheers!
Roger’s date with Vera is a disaster but ends happily when Ellie gives him her number. Janey returns home, without Susan who has evidently celebrated a little too vigourously, and is surprised to find Kenzo watching TV by himself. Poor Ben has been locked in his bedroom - an eventful night out all round!
